Les auteurs reconnaissent que trois semaines d'observation ne sont peut-être pas suffisantes pour identifier une fonction mystérieuse qui serait mal comprise par les entomologistes. Interrogé par le New Scientist, Tomer Czaczkes (université de Ratisbonne) a ainsi émis l'idée que ces fourmis puissent être une sorte d'armée de réservistes, attendant que l'on ait besoin d'elles soit pour défendre la colonie, soit pour aller faire une razzia d'esclaves dans une autre fourmilière...

Des p'tits liens
Ils ont réussi à faire peur à la ménagère de +50 ans et faire rire le bobo de - de 30. Du coup ça a dû faire le plein d'audience pour un sujet ayant monopolisé 3 personnes pendant moins d'un mois.
Je ne vois pas ce qu'on reproche à ce reportage, c'est une vrai réussite !
