I used to think that religion is for weak people, people who prefers to delegate comfortably their thoughts and sometimes manpower to one central authority.

It hits me lately that politic follows the exact same pattern, annihilating any self-consciousness and thus self-esteem. Electing a president at the head of a nation creates the feeling that you did your job as a citizen for the next X years but being a citizen is not a one-shot, it’s a daily challenge to find your place in the society not as a consumer but as an actor. Our societies are relying on one person with his government to drive our countries for a few years without any long-term vision, a scapegoat for our lack of thinking, our lack of acting, our lack of humanity. Where is your dignity when you can’t even think and act by yourself?

In 1721, Montesquieu published his Persian letters and the 14th is very important to me, here is an extract (in French) but I recommend the whole reading:

O Troglodites, what moves you to this; uprightness becomes a burden to you. In your present condition, having no head, you are constrained in your own despite to be virtuous; otherwise your very existence would be at stake, and you would relapse into the wretched state of your ancestors. But this seems to you too heavy a yoke; you would rather become the subjects of a king, and submit to laws of his framing-laws less exacting than your present customs. « 1. Restart your computer, hit F2 and enter BIOS.
2. Go to your Security tab, go the Secure Boot and DISABLE it.
3. GO back to the Boot tab and ENABLE both Launch CSM and Launch CSM PXE OpROM.
4. Exit and Save settings and upon restart hit F2 to enter bios again.
5. Under the Boot tab you will now see the options to select to boot from the DVD Rom or other devices. Use the + / - to change the boot priority. If you want to boot from a USB, plug it in your computer and restart again and you will see it there as well. »

Fonctionne aussi pour installer Debian GNU/Linux Jessie sur un Asus G751JL.

Pas besoin d'activer « Launch PXE OpROM » : il s'agit du bon vieux boot PXE.

Ha, et pour info : CSM = compatibility support module = legacy mode (merci http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?46692-Win7-G750JW-Booting-straight-to-BIOS-only-after-flashing-solved)... Payes ton acronyme bullshit.


Pour info, si vous gardez winwin :
   * Il faut installer Asus Smart Gesture (http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=smart+gesture) pour que la combinaison de touches qui permet de désactiver le clavier fonctionne. J'ai pas creusé pour GNU/Linux vu que ça me dérange pas ;

   * Pour les drivers, c'est par là : https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ASUS_ROG_G751JL/HelpDesk_Download/. J'adore le choix entre deux drivers wireless et bluetooh. Vu mon lspci, le bon driver dans les deux cas est le driver Intel.


Pour info, si vous installez Debian GNU/Linux Jessie :
   * La carte réseau ethernet Realtek et la carte WiFi Intel nécessitent des drivers proprios ;

   * Le son ne fonctionne pas sauf à brancher un casque sur line-out ;

   * Impossibilité de revenir d'un suspend-to-ram.
