I was asked by FUNimation to do a Jellyfish Princess piece of art to donate to their upcoming charity auction, so I painted this 9x12 inch watercolor of “Kurako” in a jellyfish dress! Kuro is my favorite character from the series because he’s very energetic and optimistic like me

I wanted to do an old-school watercolor cover art piece, because the reclusive manga-ka Mejiro in the series works in old-school style…spotting her blacks with ink and brush, faxing her pages in to her editor, etc…so I thought a traditional watercolor cover would be appropriate.
