we’re reading this all wrong. the letters are there, existing in-universe. this poor child has grown up in a household that sees it appropriate to spell out ayn rand quotes on the fridge with children’s magnets. the child, rather than ask his parents for a handout, has pulled himself up by his bootstraps and rigged up an extremely hazardous solution to reap unjust and harmful spoils. this is a cautionary strip about bringing up a child in an environment suffused with toxic ideology. a good comic.
