when I was just starting out years and years ago I would find clips of video game cutscenes on youtube and practice dubbing them over, or i’d record myself reading lines from various things or just reading passages from books with the recorder on my mp3 player ;w; it helps a lot to hear yourself when you play the recording, so you can notice things that you need to work on or what you’re doing well. In 2009 I found this database thingy online that had a bunch of scripts for radio commercials, and practicing with those helped me a lot. Try to record the same line over and over with different voices, not just high pitched or low pitched, but try using a different tone or making it soft or loud or scratchy or try to sound like an old lady, i dunno. This will help to expand your range. Also work on the actual “acting" part by studying other voice actresses to see what tricks they use to convey the emotions of their characters, or maybe even take a theater class. Studying other VAs can also help you develop more of a range since I worked on mine a lot by just mimicking the voices of characters and stuff. Just practice a lot, and have fun with it. Learn how to control your voice and get into character. Notice what your mistakes are and what sounds weak and work hard to improve it. If you have trouble picking up on what you should fix, just send your recordings to a friend and ask them. I do that a lot since I can never be sure ;_; 
people finding my videos was mostly luck, and because I showed a video i made (the troll tan one) to the troll tan dev forum because I made the video for them as like a tribute and it got spread around from there. Don’t spam your videos all ove r places because that’s rude!!! If you want you can get the word out by making a voice acting alliance account and posting your stuff on threads in there for critique, I haven’t really been on that site (im ner vous) but I’ve seen a lot of people on there posting their demo reels and asking for advice and stuff and the community seems pretty helpful and nice. You could also look on youtube for fandubs that are holding auditions for VAs(search “fandub" and use the advanced search options to narrow your search down to videos that were made within the last few weeks and that should show all of them) and you can audition for them, and even if you don’t get the part, it’s really good practice and you could end up getting helpful feedback from the project leaders. If you do get the part, it’ll be a good way to get more exposure.
