I know that there are many ways to translate anime and a lot of subbers tend to not translate things in the best way, but this doesn’t really affect me personally since I can understand a lot of spoken japanese anyway and generally only use subs for shows that use really advanced vocabulary. not to brag, im just a nihon master is all B) but would you rather watch a show in the original japanese with mostly accurate fansubs or a show that has really grating or untalented dubbed voices that kind of detract from the experience and make it difficult for you to enjoy the show or take it seriously?? yes there are good english dubs and sometimes dubs are better than the original japanese versions, but there are also good fan translations that aren’t full of dumb internet meme references, and are easier to find than good english dubs, unfortunately
