!!! Attention all Youmacon/Michigan anime convention attendees! !!!

This Ash cosplayer is known to sexually harass people at cons, being that he has grabbed girls’ butts and felt up on their chests.

His name is Mitchel Kaufman and it’s advised that you be wary around him. It’s rumored that he has a friend with him often that records the harassment but is usually standing a ways away. 

I don’t want anyone to go through anything like this, so please spread the word. He HAS been reported before but staff hasn’t done anything about him.

Okay I am ot going to lie

I know this man, I have known him for about two or three years, and this is entirely true.

He does not care about respect of female bodies, he blatantly and publically will harass them. If you see him even TRY to touch you or speak to you in an inappropriate manner, TELL SOMEONE.

I do not know his friends name, or which one it is, but if it is a man who is fairly tall, black hair, wearing a black trench coat from hot topic with him , steer clear.

OKAY SO STORY TIME

My friend actually linked me to this and told me to tell about my experience with him.

I don’t exactly remember what ShutoCon it was but I think it was 2012, well it was whenever I cosplayed White from Pokemon.

Id seen him a couple times around and he was really nice to me at first so of course I was nice to him back, he did come off a little weird to me though.

Now keep in mind I’m extremely awkward when it comes to physical contact with people I dont know, and at this point I hadn’t even kissed anyone my entire life and I wasn’t even dating my first boyfriend (who is currently my boyfriend and we didn’t kiss until a month into our relationship lol) yet. I was 16 at the time.

I don’t clearly remember exactly how everything went down, but all I know is my trainer hat really saved my ass. He mentioned something about me being cute and I thanked him. He leaned in and I saw what was coming so I bent my head down and knocked my head into his. My friends saw what happened and scooted my booty out of that situation as fast as possible and I avoided any contact with him for the rest of the convention. Now I had JUST met him that weekend.

It really startled me, and I just want to make it clear that cosplay does not equal consent and someone accepting your compliment does not mean they want to kiss you or do anything physical with you. Please keep your hands to yourself and ask permission if it isn’t someone you absolutely know is okay with it.
