Is it weird that I do this with my animals…?

I hold my cats close to my heart for a few minutes, and I feel so relaxed while doing it. I feel like my bond with the cat has strengthened. I can’t help but think I’m kind of a freak…? For an example, if I accidentally step on my cats tail they’re kind of pissed (obviously) so I give them a treat, pet them and then hold them close to me. 

Do you think it’s weird….? 

I have four cats, and I do this with each one of them. Not like every day, but like I said if I accidentally hurt them, or I just haven’t seen them for a while.
