i first watched it when i was like 10 and didn’t understand anything and was mostly just creeped out by it, but i watched it again a few years later and it was a lot easier to follow. i like how much it makes you think though.

shingeki no kyojin (i just finished this and i LUV it ok, i was hesitant to watch it because of the fanbase but it turned out to exceed my expectations and i think it’s one of my favorites now heheh :^ ) yea)

Denpa Teki na Kanojo was pretty scary imo, it really does a good job of creating an unsettling atmosphere and has a lot of suspenseful moments.
Kara no Kyoukai is great, too, and is beautifully animated.
I’d also recommend Steins;Gate which has a very dramatic and gripping story too! along with the scary elements!!! :^ )  

i tried to watch the first episode and i got bored and stopped but i think i’ll try to watch it again

i thought Clannad and Haruhi were decent, and K-ON! was cute and good for a slice of life show. i don’t hate the genre tho, it’s just that a lot of slice of life shows, especially recent ones, follow the same formulas and never really try anything new or interesting, and just aren’t funny, sadly. I liked Nichijou but I felt like it dragged on a bit, chuunibyou was promising but it ended up being a disappointment
