last night i was making pesto alfredo for dinner, ive made it tons of times before and it turned out fine, but this time i had to use this different brand of pesto, it was kind of weird but i thought it would be OK..I added the pesto into my milk n cream mixture on the stove and i stirred it patiently..then the sauce turned out to be really watery..but i was like hmm ill just give it some time to thicken..and after like 20 minutes it was still like watery soup..so i thickened it with a little bit of cornstarch…after this the mixture looked a lot like chunky milk sauce with algae growth in it because the pesto made it look so green and weird..it was like some mystery pig slop concoction that u see in kid’s cartoons..then the noodles finally finished cooking so i was like well ok…time to test this out..it smelled kind of good…i thought it couldnt be that bad right??? so i poured the sloppy algae mush onto the noodles with some bits of chicken interspersed..it tasted like…idk…it was like watery leaf batter..the noodles and chicken were fine but the pesto sauce was awful..the moment i swallowed i could feel my stomach rebelling and i felt nauseated for hours…just thinkin about it now makes me feel sick and kinda angry…it barely tasted like anything but at the same time it was revolting and i wanted to die..so at the last minute we decided to make curry with the chicken and added some peas and carrots, and we ate the curry over the fettucini noodles..it was different but it definitely worked out..it was unexpectedly good and i recommend it..i dont know why im telling everyone this i just had to get it off my chest, its a cautionary tale i suppose

when i used to live by grand rapids there was this amazing thai food place and their green curry was the best…im so sad that i cant eat it anymore
