overall it had a nice atmosphere and the ending did a good job of being emotionally moving even though the characters were really lacking 
but i dunno i last watched it years and years ago and i think if i watched it now i wouldn’t be that impressed
makoto shinkai films just feel like really pretty gimmicks 

Watch Tokyo Godfathers if you haven’t already. Another one of his great movies. 

aaa I love Tokyo Godfathers, it’s a great christmas movie

I last saw it when I was only 12 so I remember mostly just being unnerved by it and not liking it as much as his other films but i’m sure if I watched it now I’d have a better opinion 

Millennium Actress and Perfect Blue are pretty much two of my favorite animated movies ever, Satoshi Kon made a lot of amazing stuff and it’s a shame that he’s not around anymore ;_;
