A photo of my crew quarters: the only private area in the Space Station. My room is about the size of a telephone booth but feels bigger than it looks because I can use all the space available to me in weightlesness – from the floor to the ceiling. It might not look very tidy but you should see my room on Earth! :)

Une photo de mes quartiers, seul espace privé dans toute la Station. Mon compartiment fait la taille d’une cabine téléphonique (environ 2,1 m3, soit 2x1x1m). C’est en fait plus spacieux que ça en a l'air, puisque grâce à l’impesanteur on peut utiliser tout l’espace, jusqu’au « plafond ». Comparé à ma chambre sur Terre, c’est plutôt bien rangé… (Oui, j’anticipe vos commentaires sur l’état de ma cabine...!)

During organisation: we can move large things with the tip of our finger which comes in very handy. On the other hand everything tends to float away and won't be where we left it... we need to strap everything down!

Pendant : pratique, on peut déplacer de lourdes charges à la force du doigt. Par contre en impesanteur, on ne retrouve pas forcément les choses là où on les a posées… Il faut tout attacher !
