What do we do in our free time? Sometimes we watch movies. Set up the screen and the projector, find a comfortable position, floating or restrained, make yourself a drink and enjoy the show. Yes it was a rom com but let’s be clear I wasn’t responsible for the choice (still enjoyed it)

Entre les expériences, la maintenance, le sport, le ménage... nous n'avons pas beaucoup de temps libre à bord de la Station spatiale, mais on sait en profiter. Parfois, on regarde un film tous ensemble. On installe l'écran et le projecteur, on s'installe dans une position confortable (certains aiment flotter, d'autres préfèrent être maintenus) et c'est parti !

The Dragon is not the only spacecraft docked to the Space Station: the trusty Soyuz that I flew in last time is still flying regularly to space and brought Oleg, Pyotr and Mark here just before we arrived. Then we have the Cygnus cargo spacecraft that is very noticeable because of its circular solar wings.

Le Dragon n’est pas le seul vaisseau amarré au navire amiral qu’est l’ISS. Les Soyouz (c'est le vaisseau qui m’a amené la dernière fois) effectuent toujours des rotations régulières d’équipage. Celui que vous voyez à gauche de la photo est arrivé avec à son bord Oleg, Pëtr et Mark. Et le Cygus, au centre, nous ravitaille, en tout ce dont nous avons besoin pour assurer la mission. On voit ici ses panneaux solaires circulaires qui se découpent face à la vitre principale de la Cupola.

From space you get another perspective. Looking at the ice in this lake in Canada I see shapes... like when looking at clouds on Earth.

Des énormes blocs de glace flottent sur ce lac gelé du Canada… je ne peux pas m’empêcher d’y trouver des formes, comme dans les nuages…

Here’s a view we’ll miss: our very own spacecraft (technically it’s owned by SpaceX/NASA but hey we are the ones flying in it :). Not because Endeavour will go anywhere: it will be here the entire duration of our stay: it’s our lifeboat if things go wrong, and it will bring us back to Earth in the fall when the mission is accomplished. We’ll miss this view because it was taken from the other Crew Dragon "Resilience" that was docked on the zenith port (looking up away from Earth) of the International Space Station… with its windows conveniently pointing straight to our vehicle. Crew-1 left for Earth on Sunday in Crew Dragon Resilience and took with them the window to our spacecraft. We miss them and the view, but happy to know they are back with their families and friends enjoying showers and more Earthly delights!

Cette vue va me manquer : c'est Endeavour, le Crew Dragon qui nous a emmené dans l'espace. Pas d'inquiétude, il ne s'en va pas ! Chaque équipage décolle et revient sur Terre à bord du même vaisseau. Il reste amarré à la Station spatiale pendant toute la durée de l'expédition. Si quelque chose devait nous forcer à partir plus tôt que prévu, il serait prêt. Vaisseau spatial et radeau de sauvetage en même temps. Non, ce qui va me manquer, c'est le joli point de vue que nous offrait Resilience, le vaisseau du Crew-1 : en étant amarré au Zenith, du côté opposé à la Terre, sa fenêtre donnait directement sur Endeavour. Idéal pour faire des photos
