We also have auroras in Europe (and they are the best auroras, it is true): a bit to the north, though. The big city in the foreground is Berlin, and over there I see Copenhagen.

Here is another cool CNES experiment that is looking into how fluids behave in space. The two spheres hold coloured water that is stirred by vibration. Researchers on Earth will analyse the images we send down to better understand how liquids behave in containers amongst other things. This will be useful to get every last drop of fuel out of a spacecraft tank (not as easy as you might think without gravity!)

Le cargo Dragon m’avait apporté l’expérience Fluidics du CNES :J’ai pu étudier le comportement des fluides en impesanteur pour mieux comprendre ce qu’il se passe dans un réservoir d’un vaisseau spatial ou de satellite, par exemple – pas facile d’utiliser le carburant jusqu’à la dernière goutte quand celui-ci flotte... Dispositif simple mais qui aidera grandement les chercheurs au sol : deux sphères remplies de liquide coloréet un système de rotation, vibration et mesure de données..
