C'est l'heure de nourrir les oursons d'eau ! On nourrit nos tardigrades chacun notre tour. Ils ont un cycle de reproduction très rapide (à peine 2 semaines !) donc on en héberge déjà plusieurs générations. Un arbre généalogique entier de tardigrades de l'espace !

It’s time for lunch, water bears! I took my turn feeding the tardigrades. Fun fact: they have a two-week reproduction cycle, so we are now hosting three generations of them! A whole family tree of space-borne tardigrades!

Le détroit de Gibraltar. Il y a quelque chose de poétique dans la façon dont le Maroc et l'Espagne semblent vouloir se toucher... comme pour protéger la Méditerranée des vagues de l'Atlantique.

The way orbits work, our orbital plane slowly precedes around Earth’s rotation axis. What this means is that we don’t always travel over the same zones at the same time, it comes and goes in cycles. We might start getting good Europe night passes soon, and that’s where there are the most artificial lights by far, so that will give me another chance at night timelapses, stackings, and long exposures. In the meantime, here’s a second take on a stacking of many night pictures, this time using a different photo technique.

Les Andes à nouveau parce que c’est magnifique. Dans cette zone entre le Pérou, le Chili et la Bolivie, on trouve des myriades de couleurs. Est-ce que vous préférez un lac bordeaux ou un amphithéâtre bleu néon ?
