Growing up in small-town Normandy, my geography (and really all of my knowledge) of the United States originally came from… basketball and the NBA. I’ll spare you how starved of images and information we were, but I soon knew well all the cities that had a team, and totally ignored all the others, no matter big or small, east or west. I’ve travelled to most of them since, but flying in space is a good way for me to reconcile actual geography with the NBA map I’ve always had in mind, where San Antonio is just as big as LA, and Chicago bigger than New York City… ;)

New-York, New-York. J’adore la ville mais je n’ai jamais vraiment accroché avec les Knicks, et il faut dire que leur parcours en demi-teinte dans les années 90-2000 ne m’a pas trop poussé à les suivre de près. A humongous mapping of New York. I love the city but never was a fan of the Knicks, and they did their best to back me up by not winning much for most of the 90s-00s.
