Troll's "grab the pussy" tape

jeudi 6 avril 2017 à 02:00

The troll's "grab the pussy" tape won him support from people who felt powerless and took it to mean, "I'm so powerful I can get away with anything." They enjoyed the vicarious feeling of power. How pitiful.

I fear this is the Republicans' strategy to overcome the demographics that work against them.

Loss of genetic diversity

jeudi 6 avril 2017 à 02:00

Global heating and its effects are changing the genetics of species around the world, affecting their behaviors, their metabolism, and in some cases their shape.

In many cases this adaptation is due to loss of genetic diversity, since it takes much longer for new diversity to arise. Many of these species won't be able to keep adapting to further change at the same rate, let alone the faster changes we must expect a few decades from now.

Homeless families in the UK

jeudi 6 avril 2017 à 02:00

Many homeless families in the UK are being housed in remote places from which it takes a long time to get to school, daycare, work, or even a supermarket.

This is the result of long-standing Tory policies, accepted by B'liar as well, that have reduced the supply of housing available for this purpose and encouraged speculation in apartments.

At least the UK still has a policy of giving homeless people housing. Except when it offers people housing that they can't live in, and then uses that worthless offer as an excuse to wash its hands of them.

The US, for the most part, tells people and even families they can live on the street and be harassed by bigots (some of whom are thugs).

Drop in crime in Mexico

jeudi 6 avril 2017 à 02:00

Mexican State's Drop in Crime Seemed Too Good To Be True. In fact, it was true, and it was caused by allowing drug traffic.

It seems the War on Drugs is as futile and destructive in Mexico as it is in the US.

Urgent: Network neutrality

US citizens: stand for network neutrality.

Please do this even if you have done it before.
