The US military has a long tradition of not worrying about whether its recruits are racists or right-wing extremists.

The UK has been very successful at chasing away migrant workers.

The idea that particular art or culture should on principle be limited to certain subsets of humanity -- even certain subsets of intelligent life, if we meet intelligent non-humans -- is pernicious discrimination, and unjust.

Criticism of "cultural appropriation" is an outgrowth of that unjust idea.
