Un navire suit son cap au milieu de nulle part, en plein océan Atlantique… À 400 km d’altitude, on était peut-être les humains les plus proches des marins à bord… !

The glint of the Sun stays ashore as we transition from sea to land. Watching for reflections on water is actually a common technique for identifying lakes, seas, oceans and other pools of water – both for astronauts and satellites observing our planet.

Passage de l’océan à la terre ferme en survolant le sud de l’Afrique avec l’éclat du soleil qui semble s’attarder sur le rivage… Son réfléchissement sur l’eau est d’ailleurs bien pratique pour identifier depuis l’espace les lacs, mers, océans et autres étendues d’eau – une technique utilisée aussi bien par les astronautes que par les satellites.
