Last preparations for Crew1, before they closed the hatch on themselves. We subsequently closed our hatches and started leak checks. Everything must always be airtight in space! Sometimes it feels like being in a submarine.

Ultimes préparatifs pour Crew-1 avant qu’ils ne referment l’écoutille de leur côté. A notre tour ensuite de verrouiller les sas côté Station et de commencer les vérifications de fuites. Tout doit toujours être parfaitement étanche dans l’espace ! Parfois on a l’impression d’être dans un sous-marin.

I know there is no up and down in space but I was up on the zenith docking port with Shane closing the hatch to the departing Dragon, and when I looked down this is what I saw under my feet: the whole crew looking up at us!

OK oui il n’y a techniquement pas de haut/bas en impesanteur – mais la station a elle une orientation. J’étais au "plafond", au port d’amarrage zénith, avec Shane pendant qu’il fermait l’écoutille sur le Dragon... et quand j’ai regardé en bas, voilà la vue qu'on avait sous nos pieds : le reste de l’équipage de la Station (Crew-2 et Soyouz MS-18) qui assistait au départ.
