Saint-Louis, aux États-Unis, et son aéroport. Une ville qu’on ne connaît pas bien en France, et pourtant, elle a à son palmarès l’organisation de Jeux Olympiques en 1904 (et donc du marathon le plus rocambolesque de l’Histoire). A l’époque l'aviation n'en était qu'à ses balbutiements et les aéroports n'existaient pas ! On distingue un énorme chantier entre deux nuages – en fait le prochain site d’une agence de la Défense américaine qui utilise… l’imagerie spatiale. :open_mouth:

Saint Louis is also one of the #OlympicCities, but they held the Olympics over 100 years ago, in 1904! You can see Saint Louis international airport but this is not from where Charles Lindbergh famously flew the Spirit of St Louis aircraft to cross the Atlantic in 1926 – he left from New York to arrive in Paris. The aircraft was called the Spirit of St. Louis due to sponsorship deals :) The Olympics must have been very different in 1904, before athletes could travel by aircraft or satellites could transmit the games, or before :television: for that matter!
