I love snapping mountains from orbit, because they give an impression of the terrain height, especially when the Sun is low enough to cast shadows. Photography is always playing with light! Mount Adams was named after U.S. President John Adams which is kind of a cool thing to have your name attached to, I guess.

S’il y a bien des structures particulièrement satisfaisantes à photographier depuis l’espace, ce sont les montagnes et les volcans, surtout quand le soleil est suffisamment bas pour créer des ombres qui trahissent leur relief. En photo tout est une question de lumière ![volcano emoji, flashing camera emoji, US flag emoji] Malgré sa proximité avec le tristement célèbre Mont Saint Helens, le Mont Adams que vous voyez ici est inactif depuis plus de mille ans et couvert d'une importante calotte glacière.
