Hardly 72 hours here and we have already spent the entire day fixing the space toilets, but Peggy did most of the work! I feel like I am recreating The Big Bang Theory. Lots of maintenance on the International Space Station. This is one of the reasons why we have such varied training: our lessons on plumbing were very useful to fix the Waste and Hygiene Compartment (also known as a space toilet), one of the two toilets we have.

À peine 72h qu’on était là et on a déjà dû passer presque une journée entière à réparer les sanitaires. Digne d’un épisode de The Big Bang Theory ! Vivre à bord de l’ISS implique beaucoup de maintenance. C’est une des raisons pour laquelle notre formation est aussi variée : nos connaissances en plomberie nous ont été bien utiles hier avec Peggy dans le compartiment de collecte et d’hygiène (Waste and Hygiene Compartment), l’un des deux toilettes opérationnelles de la Station.
