RT @bob The internet wasn't designed to be centralised, but today in many regards it is. For many people the internet is Facebook, Google and Twitter. The large data silos run by monopolistic businesses are not even remotely democratic, and we can see this time after time with the numerous privacy scandals, arbitrary censorship, manipulations via algorithmic timelines and collusion in mass surveillance schemes.
