Sexual harassment and even assault are widespread in schools in the UK. Teachers want action to protect students.
I support that demand, but adopting a policy of "zero tolerance" in a school is asking for trouble no matter what issue it's about. We don't want children to bring weapons to school, but "zero tolerance" for weapons leads to things like kicking children out for pictures of guns.
