Pakistani religious fanatics are out to murder Shaan Taseer for criticizing the law that punishes "insulting Islam" with execution.

That law would be a great evil if it were enforced carefully, but it's even worse because they are sloppy about it. It provides an all-purpose excuse to execute people based on unverifiable accusations.
