The Taliban are slowly gaining in Afghanistan, fighting against government soldiers that have no strong motivation to fight for the corrupt government. The US generals ask for more US troops, but the most those could achieve is to weaken the Taliban somewhat and stabilize the unending war.

The Taliban offered the US a peace deal in 2001. Repressive as they are, peace under the Taliban would have been better, both for Afghans and for Americans, than perpetual war.

Now PISSI is trying to recruit people there. It would be better if the Taliban had full control and could keep PISSI out.
