Singapore has shut a news web site, claiming it harms "the public interest, public order, and national harmony."

When unjust regimes repress dissent, sometimes they give excuses like that, and sometimes they fabricate accusations of unrelated real crimes such as fraud, tax evasion, sodomy, etc.
