There is a correction for item 4: attacks against soldiers of an occupying army are not terrorism. They are, rather, an armed uprising. We need to distinguish armed uprising from terrorism, since both do exist.

Another point worth mentioning is that the US army already is so big that no other army would mess with it. However, no army can be so big that it discourages guerrilla uprising, or terrorism.
