Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are being overcome by Covid-19.

The lack of enough vaccine is not pertinent to why things are worse than a year ago, since vaccine is more plentiful now than then.

The more transmissible B.1.617 strain may be part of the cause. But it seems that they are failing to take adequate measures against transmission.

Australia showed the right example: take local measures immediately that are strong enough to end transmission. Don't wait, because waiting will require the measures to cover more areas.
