Some Google employees reportedly wrote that "open source" LLMs are progressing faster than Google or Open"AI" can possibly do. There are even small models that can run in personal computers, and that can run on CPUs, not as prisoners of the GPU (*).

Most "open source" programs are free software, but there are exceptions.

It is crucial to verify that at least one of these systems entirely composed of free software &mdash with zero nonfree or unreleased components. And ideally more than one.
