A few rich people with houses on Long Island are suing to stop the power cable from an offshore wind farm from running, 30 feet underground, through their hamlet.

It would be good to establish national safety criteria for wind farms, on sea and on land, to assure that they can't be built where they would cause real problems for anyone — not even people who are poor or disprivileged — and that even rich NIMBYs can't arbitrarily block them.
