Destabilization is propagating between countries in Africa. The overthrow of Gaddafi allowed Islamist fanatics to get arms.

Should we have helped Gaddafi crush the uprising and stay in power? I don't think so, but the countries threatened by Islamist fanatics deserve help in fighting them off.
