Sanders supporters succeeded in pushing some progressive clauses into the Democratic platform, but Clinton's supporters defeated us on some crucial issues including the TPP.

I think Clinton wants the TPP to be approved during the lame duck session. This way, she will get the TPP (which I believe she still supports although she reluctantly agreed to oppose it), and she will have a chance to pretend it wasn't her doing.

But we will all know she helped make it happen, both before as Secretary of State, and now by failing to oppose it with any vigor.
