The UK has launched a study that will consider whether it is possible to allow Chagosians to return to the homes they were forcibly expelled from.

Whatever is done in the coming few years, I expect that Britain and the US, along with China and other industrialized countries, will have the last laugh — CO₂ emissions will kill the coral in a few decades, making most of the fish disappear, and later inundate the islands.
