Canada's law against breaking DRM
mercredi 15 mars 2017 à 01:00Canada's law against breaking DRM, imposed by US pressure, has been interpreted in the nastiest possible way.
Canada needs to get rid of this unjust law. Breaking DRM should be lawful; implementing DRM should be a crime.
The term "digital locks" is not a good way to refer to the malicious functionality of DRM (Digital Restrictions Management). Please join me in calling them "digital handcuffs" rather than "digital locks".
