A US court threw out the lawsuit by relatives of US citizens killed by Obama's drone attacks, saying that officials are immune from prosecution for whatever they do in war.

Since the US is not officially at war in Yemen, this appears to give the president the legal authority to kill anyone, anywhere outside the US.
