« Vivre et dormir avec tant d’étranger n’est pas facile et la notion de de sphère privé à cessée d’exister. Les nerfs sont constamment au bord du gouffre après trois semaines et demie de bombardements continus desquels je n’ai vécu qu’une semaine et demi. Néanmoins tous les 70 habitants de cette maison se comporte avec calme et prévenant. Ils partagent tout ce qu’ils ont, du pain, une dernière cigarette, une batterie de téléphone ou un bout de savon pour se laver. »

“Living and sleeping [. . .] with so many strangers is not easy and any notion of private sphere has ceased to exist. The nerves are constantly on the edge after three and a half weeks of continuous bombardment, of which I only experienced one and a half weeks. Nevertheless, all 70 inhabitants of this house behave calm and considerate. They share everything they have, a baked bread, the last cigarette, a mobile phone battery or a piece of soap for personal hygiene.“
