The Break Into Chat wiki was created to preserve the history of these and other BBS door games, after editors on Wikipedia began deleting (or threatening to delete) door game articles. These activist editors had deemed most BBS doors "non-notable," citing a dearth of quality sources about the individual games. Space Empire Elite was the first to go. In response, I forked all of Wikipedia's BBS door game-related articles, and Break Into Chat was born."
