The people who start the wars do not have bombs dropped on their houses. The people who pass the laws that incarcerate others never have to face the full force of the prison system themselves. The people who design the economic system that inflicts poverty on millions are themselves rich. This sort of insulation from the real world consequences of political and economic decisions makes it very easy for powerful people to approve of things happening to the rest of us that they would never, ever tolerate themselves.

Pourtant on continue d’élire des milliardaires et des banquiers…

A well-designed political system would have a built-in feedback system to ensure that those making the decisions are also subject to the consequences of those decisions.

Perso je propose qu’on commence par mettre tous les politiciens au SMIC, qu’on limite leur appartement de fonction à ce qu’on donne aux étudiants (9 ou 11 mètres carrés : s’ils veulent davantage, ils n’ont qu’à aller bosser), et qu’on leur paye 50 % de l’abonnement du métro et non un chauffeur personnel.

Et qu’au moindre écart de conduite (absentéisme, portable au travail, dodo au travail…) on les met à pied pour 3 jours. Comme ce qui se passe pour les gens normaux, en fait.
